ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Home Depot recently applied for permission to build an approximately 100,000 square-foot store with an approximately 30,000 square-foot garden center to be located at 16830 Devonshire Boulevard, in Granada Hills, near the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Devonshire Street. The City of Los Angeles has assigned the application to a City Planner and the application is currently pending. There are no timeline estimates available at this time. If you would like to reach out to the City of Los Angeles, please email Renata Ooms at renata.ooms@lacity.org.

The Home Depot decided on the Granada Hills community due to the growth we are seeing in the area and to help address customer needs. Its current nearest store, which is approximately 3 miles south located at 16800 Roscoe Boulevard in Van Nuys and approximately 3 miles south, will continue to serve that customer base.

THE CITY PROCESS

The Home Depot applied to the City of Los Angeles for a Conditional Use Permit, Design Review, Specific Plan Compliance, and Site Plan Review entitlements, as required by the City's Municipal Code, to conduct a partial demolition of an existing strip mall and to build an approximately 100,000 square-foot Home Depot store with an approximately 30,000 square-foot garden center to be would be located at 16830 Devonshire Street, in Granada Hills, near the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Devonshire Street. Environmental review pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act will also be required prior to project approval. No hearings have yet been set by the City of Los Angeles.
